It is indeed a Garden carpet!

I tell the difference between Garden and Common carpets thus:

Common carpets have a Complete band whereas Garden have only half a band!

Silly, but it has worked for me!!

Naturegirls is right with the difference between Garden and Common Carpet. However Garden can be a bit variable ranging from the one you have photographed to an almost black one, as shown below on one I caught on Saturday.


If you look hard enough you can still make out that the line is faint in the middle and dark at the edges.
