Do you have any of the top side? You can narrow it down to an underwing, rustic or a few other things, but to get further could you describe any markings on the back?

| | | Re: Moth i.d Nice shots. Unfortunately you have left out the most important one - the dorsal view - looking down on the wings from directly above. It's a Noctuidae moth though.

| | | Re: Moth i.d Nope, it's not a Square-spot Rustic. They don't have stripey legs like that and have a line of dark dots about two-thirds away along the wing. The wings are also the wrong shape.
It's too worn for me to say what it is for sure though.
