Hawk moth help

Hello!
I'm new here so i hope you are all nice and can help me!

I found what i presume to be a hawk moth caterpillar in my local park yesterday. No photo so I will try to describe:

About 4cm long, bright green, smooth, no markings apart from a bright blue tail.

Have looked at some photos but can't find an exact match - any help?

Afew possibilities Lime Hawkmoth, Eyed Hawkmoth or Humming bird hawkmoth.

Hi bobbins - can you perhaps remember if it was feeding from a particular plant, shrub or whatever.

I think it was probably an eyed hawkmoth, judging by some photos I've looked at now, but it was a much more intense green and blue - maybe the colour intensified when I approached.

Colour varies with age in alot of species, also individuals can vary quite abit.

Hello Hedge Witch!

I had to rescue it from the middle of the cycle path or it would have been an ex-caterpillar, so I didn't see it feed.
