Hello again, We are not sure on these 2, so I thought I`d let you experts have a go!
The moth was about an inch long. The beetle was taken at the Wyre forest on 19 Aug. He has a beautiful blue edge. Any ideas??

The moth looks like a large yellow underwing, noctua pronuba. It has a heart but no dart  Dunno what your beetle is, it's a cracker though! |

The beetle is a member of the Geotrupidae. Geotrupes sp looks good for G. stercorarius. |

I think it's a Large Yellow Underwing as well.

It looks like a large yellow underwing - they are so common - I have seen them on my buddleia daviddii at night and in a public toilet by day
