Dans Moth Ident Thread

Ok as advised this is the thread for photographic conformation or idents of moths from my garden moth trapping sessions/dissertation.

This will include tricky macro's for a newbie, unknown micro's and those moths too worn or tatty for me to positively id?...plus any other night flying insects.

I hate the mundane process of 'resizing' and uploading to WAB as it never lets me upload multiples so its a slow one at a time process so bare with me?

I'd say Lesser Stag Beetle.

Not convinced. How big? I'm not sure what I'm seeing - it seems rather smooth, but it may also be due to a DOF/Sharpness problem??

There must be many other details too to tell them apart, but I'm not really good with beetles so maybe someone else can cough it up without opening a book
