Not sure about the butterfly, Ian (maybe a Common Blue?), but the moth definitely seems to be Zygaena filipendulae, the Six-Spot Burnet ....

Apart from a couple of introductions in the West Country the Large Blue is extinct in the UK. This is a common blue by the looks of it.

Thanks Imaginos Looks like it's a Common Blue then for a Large one would have a fair old hefty journey on its hands (or wings should I say) to fly from the West Country to Hampshire!
