Jersey Tiger moths in London

found a few over the last week in south devon

saw one jersey tiger at allotment in Rosendale Rd., Dulwich last Thursday
does any one know what theyre favourite roosting/hibernating place is?

I wonder about this too; here in Normandy we have both species color variants, but the pixel size is too big to post a photo. We have red hindwing version and yellow hindwings; and they seem to hide inside the evergreen bushes or roost there. I wonder if in London you have both colors with all other markings and sizes identical in all respects.

While I was away in Scotland, my wife found one on our patio doors...



I'm quite jealous as I've never seen this species. Fingers crossed there may be more about.

saw a jersey tiger yesterday in London allotment, wasnt able to photograph it, interesting to know that there are 2 types red and orange will look out for this, also I will try and shrink my photo to put on line.
