| | | moth identification Could someone help with moth identification of some moths that I tapped last night.
Is this a Flame Shoulder?
Secondly is this a Lunar Yellow Underwing? going by the two black marks on each wing ?
Any ideas on this last one? |

| | | Re: moth identification 1 = Flame Shoulder
2 = Large or Lunar Yellow Underwing. Bit early for Lunar though
3 = Small Ranunculus?
Cheers,
Adam

Cheers,
Adam | Thanks Adam,
I now have the concise guide to moths and going by the illustrations I thought Lunar as the markings are so clear and also the black "ticks" go all the way to the side of the wing? |

| | | Re: moth identification i'd agree with Flame shoulder and Large yellow underwing, but number 3 looks more like varied coronet.

The last one so far is a choice between two suggestions..there was two of them in my trap thismaorning.
One more shot from above of the underwing if that helps (Large or Lunar). |
