How big was it and when was this photo taken?

Looks like a male Diurnea fagella (a micro-moth of the family Oecophoridae). The females have much-reduced wings, but the males are often found on tree-trunks at this time of year.

Definitely Diurnea fagella (aka March Tubic).

Thanks for ID, seemed a bit larger than my idea of a micro moth but a wingspan up to 30mm seems feasible.
