Unidentified Moth

I took this photo of a moth in Monkstown Wood, Newtownabbey, N.Ireland in Sept 2007. ID anyone?

Hi John, micro moths are difficult to ID especially for me . It looks like a Tortix though, maybe a Clepsis consimilana .

I would lean towards Epiphyas postvittana (Light Brown Apple Moth) on this one due to the wingshape. It's a common species and can be very variable in colour and pattern. BW Tristan
