| | | Re: 3 Moths and a Mystery! i had a pet spider once, used to catch hornets from a nest nearby in a small indoor fish tank net, twist the net to keep it, then pop it in with my spider...
never once got hurt....
my neighbor bleached the nest at one point and nearly killed my spider |

While risk assessments cater for highly unlikely injuries related to electricity, bulbs and cables etc, the very real possibility of a hornet stinging a child is a potentially disastrous scenario. They are usually very docile, but I have witnessed someone being stung when packing up, so do take care. |

Poor moths. | Oh dear, that's pretty worrying! I've had them in the trap a couple of times, once I noticed one buzzing against the top at around midnight, and I managed to get it out by turning off the trap light and turning on a security light which led it elsewhere. The other one I found in one of the egg boxes in the morning, as far as I could tell they hadn't done any damage but maybe I didn't notice! In the past I've seen them having a go at moths that have come to lit windows!

Only disastrous if some over zealous parent chooses to sue. Hornet stings are not that serious (unless the person stung is sensitive and goes into anaphylactic shock)
