yes it is Riband Wave - Idaea aversata ab. remutata.
It's the variation without the thick band, which in my area ais more common.

Roger | Yes it was Roger and thanks. It obligingly stayed on the living room wall for me.  I've ordered a Kenko 1.4 coverter now.
