| | | Moth from Oxford Island I took this photo of a moth on June 11th 2007 at Oxford Island, N.Ireland. It was resting on a nettle leaf in a shaded woodland area beside Lough Neagh. ID anyone?
Thanks, John.

| | | Re: Moth from Oxford Island I'd say it's a Caddis Fly rather than a moth, looks a bit like Philopotamus montanus from the book but I'm not sure if you can always id them positively to species level.
Nice shot as well!

| | | Re: Moth from Oxford Island It just shows you how bad I am at identification. I cannot even tell the difference between a moth and a caddis fly!
Keep the ID suggestions coming.
