| | | Yellow moth ID and bonus butterfly This chap was snoozing at my back door yesterday. I've had a look through all my books but I can't find it:
And this painted lady was gracing us with her presence the other day - is this a particularly pale specimen? I am quite chuffed with this picture as I was precariously perched on a set of garden steps at the time I'm trying to get pictures of my garden wildlife to make a record of as many of the species as I can. Not Gallery quality (found that out twice when I uploaded it to the Gallery instead of forum images by mistake ) |

| | | Re: Yellow moth ID and bonus butterfly Hehe, that moth reminds me of a white one that flew into my livingroom a couple of years ago - it tried to hide on my top since it was one of the palest things in the room in that light. That was so cute! It was pure snow white, with two grey spots on its wings, large white-feather antennae, a fluffy body and legs, and huge black eyes. The eyes were a bit of a give away with all the white so as soon as it landed it covered it eyes with its legs. I was playing peekaboo with a moth! |

| | | Re: Yellow moth ID and bonus butterfly A female ghost...I've had a few spooky run-ins in my time so that is just spot on I knew it was something reasonably ordinary but couldn't see it in my books. I think I'll have to get a decent moth spotters guide Thanks everyone! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
