small Black + white moth
Not the best of pics but can anyone ID this small black & white moth with striped antennae I saw at the weekend

I have not seen anything like this before but it looks more like a caddis-fly than a moth.

Its more than likely one of the Longhorn caddisflies(Leptoceridae)

The nearest looking group of Longhorn caddis flies I can find is the Mystacides species. They seem to be predominantly black with a red eye and have the long black+white antennae. None of them seem to have the white markings on the wings though.

There was a caddisfly expert at Liverpool Museum. This should be your first port of call.
