Is there a book that starts with the basics, and talks you through all the technicalities? | Hi a good book which deals with slide and specamin preparation and stains etc is practical microscopy by eric marson it is avaliable from second handbook dealers like savona books who specialise in microscopy books i believe brunnel microscopes may have reprinted it. the fructose sugar solution on larry leggs page on micscape is excellent for mounting subjects as is nail varnish. i just started a year ago and am getting there slowly i can recomend cavity slides and pond water instant results and no chems to play with. |
