Earlier in the week my local wildlife freinds suffered yet another attack In a place where they should be able to feel safe.
A MiddleAged woman with long brown hair&glasses(the sort youd trust your purse with in carity shops) Deliberately let her 2 dogs loose to chase a fox(The urban foxes in my neibourhoood are Tiny&soft&peaceful as pusscats)&after it had ran across a busy road&through gardens where cats are&attacked the fox,-she was laughing.
Ive got footage...

the chainsaw workers left &
I went to inspect the damage to the wildlife and pick up the litter and I found a water bottle the SCC Workers had left leaned up against a tree & it had 8 pupating larvae in it.
I was unable to leave it there as it had already been moved and disturbed and the Orks may be back tomorrow to finish the damage.
(That would now be illegal as the pupae are Stag Beetles and their habitat is protected by law).

So I was unable to leave them where they were in their natural habitat because 1)-theyd already been moved and disturbed,
2)-because the council workers may be back again tomorrow to finish the damage(which would now be ilegal)&
3)-the bottle was exposed and vertical so it would fill with water.
So I took them home and put them in a suitable temporary container.
It seem to me Local Authorities shirk their legal duties towards wildlife to get jobs done and paychecks...

This week I installed a 6' x 6' Sparrowhawk Barrier at a Point of Entry where the local Hawks like to swoop in to my garden Picking off unsuspecting feeding birdies.
I saw one hawk flew in so hard over the roof he made impact with the ground but still caught the sparrow he aimed for, who was feeding on the food that had fallen to the ground from the birdtable.
The SparrowHawk Barrier is constructed of horazontal 6' Bamboo with 15cm spaces that would let fleeing little birds through...
