my apologies--been away for a couple of days so just read your last post(29.08) im really unsure what to do next.after reading macs comments re.trying to catch her etc,im now in a quandry-but asking the pest control officer to come and 'deal' with her seems drastic esp.if there is something i can do otherwise to help her.however my main and only concern is her welfare--so,since you are presumably in a better position to advise me-what would you recommend my next course of action be??

as you havent got back to me-i take it you are unable to help with cage.since the vixen has severe conjunctivitis and one front paw that is red-raw and thus walking badly,would it be possible to treat her with medication in her food? what would you recommend??

thank you for your offer wildliferescuer.my postcode is ne36 0tb. unfortunately i still havent seen vixen since wednesday and am fearing the worst especially as the cubs didnt turn up last night and there were lads out lamping on wed.night.i'll get back to you if need be.

Hi,

I am starting to breed mealworms, everything seems to be OK, I now have 6 very active adults, but I've had them for weeks, and I haven't seen them mating. I was wondering how long it is before they lay, and do they need anything to get them to mate? I'll ask on the forum, but I just hoped you might know. Thanks. HW

I work at one of the UK's largest Wildlife Hospitals & the main problem that I have found in my 24 years of dealing with injured wildlife is the difficulty in obtaining good advice about what to do, how to treat, what to feed etc etc.
When I started out I knew nothing at all but over the years we have built up, mainly through trial & error, a huge pool of knowledge about the subject.
