Hi T2,
I hope I am doing this correctly but just thought I would give you an update on my post about a clay lined pond, you kindly pointed me in the direction of the Ponds Conservation Trust and their Million Ponds Scheme. The advice on the website was very helpful and as you said my pond would fit into the scheme. A Dr Jeremy Biggs gave me some great advice about making the pond good for Reed Buntings as I fed at least three pairs in the garden last winter. The digger has been today and now I just need some rain to fill the pond, shouldn't have to wait too long in Cumbria! Thank you again for the advice.
