Thanks Tufftie. 24 lambs so far, few problems (2 stillborn and 1 deformity) but hopefully settling down now. Mostly older ewes lambing up to now. Still a way to go! Hope you like the pics!

Sorry not to reply sooner but my gallbladder started to complain about all the naughty food I'd eaten over Yule and Christmas! Hope you had a good time last night?
Also hoping that you have thawed out and that we don't get more cold from late Jan on so that your lambing goes ok. At least it was snow and frost covering the grass and not just frost - so it should be ok after the thaw :-) Our water finally came on again last night after more than two weeks off!!

Hi and Happy New Year to you both.
Really struggling here with snow and ice. Getting on and off the hill is difficult and have had the truck stuck in 5ft snow drifts. Spending ages getting water and feed to the livestock and have used half the winter's hay already. We should be lambing from late jan - eek. Still, its been beautiful and clear with brilliant frosty mornings and Xmas has been good. Looking like a thaw now so the sheep may see grass for the first time in weeks.
