Hi Robin. I have been looking at the Nikon 55-300mm lens you mentioned - it is a good price at the moment - do you have any photos in the Gallery taken with this lens?

I had a Sigma 70-300 lens but it was awful so I had to send it back. I have the Nikon 55-200 which I like but the 300 would give that little bit of extra reach.

Thanks for the D7000 feedback Robin. I have been dithering between the D90 and D7000 but I think if I got the D90 I would probably wish I had bought the D7000. I was going to ask about lenses, so it is useful to know what lens you went for. I have the D60 kit lens, a Nikon 55-200 lens and a 35mm lens so the 18-105 lens which comes with the D7000 would probably not be that good a buy for me. So I will probably go for the D7000 body and will look at the lens you bought too. Many thanks. Tricia.

Hi Tricia
Nat at all daunting, the layout is basically the same as the D60 with some bells and whistles added. I have not explored all the possibilities yet, waiting for better weather, but I got up and running straightaway without having to resort to the manual too much. So far, so good, a substantial improvement on the D60 and well worth considering. I also bought a 55-300m Nikkor lens (around £300) to go with the 18-55mm VR lens I kept from the D60 kit.

Hi Robin

I was wondering how you are getting on with the Nikon D7000? I had been looking at the Nikon D90 but am now very tempted to go for the D7000 instead. Did you find it daunting at first, going from the D60 to the D7000?
