Hi Dennis, I haven't uploaded the photos I've taken with your lens as they where just too grainy like all the ones I had taken with my lens. So no difference in our lenses ther then, to be honest the light wasn't on our side during the day. We'll have to try it again on a better day.
Did John manage to sort you out the other weekend?

Hi Dennis , just read your post in Upgrade Canon From 50D to 7D ?
Hope you are feeling better, not great having a cold, it just takes time.
When you reply to me you need to put it on my profile page, otherwise I'll never know that you've written a reply, the one below I've only just read today 31st Dec and you posted it the 26th! And I'm on here every day because I'm sad like that.
Like I say, hope you afre feeling better, I'm looking at going down the wetlands this Sunday if you are interested and feeling up to it. I'll ring you Saturday if I'm off for definite.

Hi Dennis, just read your post in the 7D thread. I'd have that 400mm 5.6 tommorow if I had the money. Before I do buy either this lens or the newer IS version (more expensive) I'd like to try them both out so would either see if any one local has one I could try or if not then even hire them for a few days as like you say, they are expensive and I'd want to make sure I'm getting the right lens and also that it is what I want and also lives up to my expectations.
Our camera is only as good as the lens stuck on it and I reckon a prime will really show the camera to it's full ability. Wayne is going down the wetlands tommorow, I was thinking about it but have decided not to. I will be going this week though, weather doesn't look good til Thursday but all that is subject to change. I'll let you know when I'm going

Hi Dennis, merry xmas my friend, before sending your camera off to canon, try another lens on the body, if I'm down the wetlands when you are, we can swap lenses and bodies and try different combinations. This way at least it will be cheaper. Send me a PM with your tel no on so I can give you a ring when I next go down the wetlands

Hey Dennis thought I'd be the first to post on your visiter board!
Hows it going with that 7D my friend, have you been to Llanelli WWT lately? I've not been recently due to family commitments and being iced in last weekend. From what I've heard on the grapevine I've been as well not to have gone as all the lagoons are frozen and the they closed the footpaths to the public even. That would've been a waste of a 60 mile round trip!
