Thanks for that Woodman. Coldfall it is then.
I like Wordsworth. I bought a book of his poems when I first moved to London and had to travel in the peak. Reading it would calm me down. I didn't care if it made sense or not as it was an effective distraction from the horrors of having random strangers' body parts shoved in your face. If you get my meaning.

Thanks for the comment on my Weasel pic woodman.

And yes it was seen in a coastal habitat, why do you ask?

I first saw this little fella between two tussocks of grass eyeing me. So I used the squeaking on the back of the hand technique to see if it would entice him closer. It worked a treat, he was hunting a grassy mound right in front of me for a good 5 - 10mins before realising it was me making the noise. Great moment.

Got a better and more unusual shot that i'll upload later.

Well the OH just showed me how to remove the blade, so that was a stroke of luck. 10 more strokes will do the trick. Got ya! Now all I've got to get is the carborundum. :-D

Thank you very much Woodman. Never let it be said that you do not have the patience of a saint. The trees of North London will no doubt be eternally grateful too. ;-)

Hi W,

Having visited Greg Carson's saw shop in Oregon more times than I care to mention, I'm not at all sure about sharpening the saw yet. YouTube is wonderful, but just doesn't show how to use a carborundum. And I can't really understand your instructions. If the sharpening tool is parallel, how does it give an edge?

Thank you very much for all your help.

I have found a rusty saw to practise with. The teeth are all shapes, but I just want to get used to handling the saw set.

I think I'm using it OK. The teeth have this pattern:

I think the ones we use have this pattern. They look like the ones you recommended. Do I set that double tooth? One tooth one way, one the other?
