Thanks Tracey: I got myself into this mess now I'm going to have to work 20 times harder to get myself out of it ....... I'm a plonker! Hope things ok with you? Its coming round to that time of year when kingfishers are more plentiful and more obvious as the young spread out - tho I'm aware a lot of them must have died last winter - theres not as many anywhere - same with wrens and stonechats. Tracey I hope he never gets a kingfisher shot - ever! Nothing good should come to people like that - not in my book (vengeful or wot?!) I've wanted kingfisher for just a few days short of 40 years ...... I suppose if I had really tried I would have got one before but I always think I will trip across something in the goodness of time - but these days I now realise that the time can be measured in decades and if I really want something I'm going to have to try a bit harder!! Freezing weather can be a good time to get close to kingfishers (same with a lot of water birds) they don't have as much open water too get lost in!
