I just don't seem to have the time.... however, a quick catch up session...
It is now 20th May and Summer seems to have been cancelled. Today on the Fen it was only 11 degrees and the wind was biting.....
But first - update time.
Still getting to the Fen which is the stopping place of choice. We've seen the SEO a couple of times since the first report - magnificent sight it is too.
The MHs continue to have us trying for a decent shot...

Sorry blog, I have neglected you terribly....
Time for a spot of catching up..... Now, where to begin......

Didn't realise just how lucky we were though, as that day turned out to be the last reported sighting of the SEOs on this site...

This year - I resolve that work will not rule my life and I will risk the wrath of customers to get out into the landscape for some soothing of the soul............
- I want to try to get a bit more knowledge about insects and to try to do a bit of decent (or semi-decent) macro work. I think moths may be my starting point.....
- It would be nice to get back into fungi. I used to be really into getting shots of various fungi and identification but a lot of time has passed, reclassification

I'm sure people will shrug and wonder why some of these are down as special moments, but for me they stand out as memorable.... Some are mentioned in my blog - others aren't for want of spare time.
Starling murmuration heading to roost at Aberystwyth in early November. We tried to get to see them last year but the weather was so bad on the coast that the birds used a different roost area while we were there. This year we were more lucky and saw them on several occasions - an amazing...
