Wow, she's braver than me!!

The Isle of Man is really pretty, a nice variety of landscapes, coast, mountain etc. I've not been myself but my mum has gone there lots of times, and my Dad used to go there to ride his bike round the TT course!

Just finished my first week 'jurying' and have not even seen the inside of a court room yet! Have either spent the day in a 'lounge' waiting to be called or have been sent home at lunch time. A bit boring to say the least, finished reading 2 books already! There's about 12 or so of us in the same situation.
I've another week to go so hopefully (?) I'll get called up for a case.
As for your neighbour, tell them it's all explained, everyone's very nice, you get lunch & drinks paid for and travel paid but be prepared for lots of waiting around.............

Yeah, we're off to Valencia for 5 days in a couple of weeks as OH has a friend living out there, and then we're saving our money and staying in Wales until September, when we've got a month in British Columbia fishing and wildlife watching :)

Scotland sounds great, I'm going there, but only for a weekend unfortunately as it's part of a charity event. A return trip to Jersey is definitely on the cards though, probably next year when I've got a bit more money!

I've not been on RC for a bit, I suspect the revamp has a lot to do with it as it kind of scared me off! I should go back there really to get some advice on my frostbitten herbs!

Hey Stewy

I know that place I built the Fun Tower and the swimming pools at bothe sites .
I find the Magpie excellent but overpriced and to busy. We always go to "Mister Chips" On church street on the south bank of the ESk,,,Its always been very good.
Make sure you go to the Harbour Bar in Scarborough for a cheese toasty and the best ice cream in the world,,,

Lots of good pubs in North Yorks...
Crown and Cushion at Welburn Near Castle Howard good food
Denison at East Ayton supposed to be good for food
The Hole in the Wall Vernon rd scarborough good beer
If you fancy an Indian the Eastern Paradise in Scar is very good
Tell me whereabouts yu are going and will ask my mate the taxi driver,,,
