Hi sheamus, being a local chap I wondered if you know of any source (free?) of logs for the fire?
I see you're into archery, where do you do that? I'm into target rifle shooting and am about to start with the club in Corpach.

there is a healthy red squirrel population around that road especially nearer n ballachulish ,but wait till the larch loose most of their needles and we'll arrange a trip to glen righ ,then you will see plenty ,we done a short one day course there and saw several

Hiya, it crossed the road in front of me comming down the road from N Ballachulish to Kinlochleven. The other half has seen him several times on the way to work but it's the first time i've seen him!
I've never known it to rain so much! (not for so long anyway) Have been trying to build the fence round the new chicken run but been rained off so many times i've given up! Nice to see the snow on the hills though :)

hi andy where did you see the red squirrel? there are a few sightings around the lochan area. some spell of weather eh?
-
Oh dear, don't fancy trying to pump out the cormorant to get your fish back! I have seen someone parked in the carpark in a ranger van once before. I did say "morning" as i walked past, i assume it was you? Will no doubt see you there at some point.

i thought that cormorant looked familier ,its the one that's been eating my fish !!!, i am the ranger that looks after the lochan ,chances are that we maybe have met there . this winter you'll be able to see the golden eye that visit usually a couple of males and a female .see you around the loch!!!

Thanks for the info. I tried Glen Etive a couple of times but the deer seem to always be a long way from wherever I am! Yeah, I did take the pic of the cormorant, he was at the Glencoe Lochan a couple of weeks ago, have only ever seen ducks there previously! We have a new puppy that is now alowed out for walkies so no doubt we'll be going there a lot more!

you need to go up on rannoch moor or up the west highland way up past the penstock. like the photo of the cormorant did you take it?
