Hi Seamus, how lucky are you? Park ranger with the forestry commission and living around Ballachulish, Duror and Glencoe. All of the afore mentioned are on my wish list. My brother in law lives in Ballachulish. Very, very jealous:)
hello Seamus complete washout rained non stop arrived back in Nairn last night,went to loch oif Lowes on Monday ok for bird watching photography wise not to good managed to get some Canada geese there but nothing else so decided to come back home wednesday ,seen your bit on Culbin Forest didnt realise that there was that much to see so have bookmarked your site you mentioned so hopefully weather permitting will get there this weekend
I am just back from my wander around Linlithgow Loch, and I am a regular visitor to Skinflats which has produced some good birds,Kinniel Kerse on the road to Boness is also a favourite of mine.
The downside to Sundays is me weekly visit to the Mother-in law ( i love here dearly ),so Edinburgh here I come.

...glasgow!!! ...well not really i'm an edinburgh boy born ,if not totally bred, but a recent trip to that "dear green place" opened my mind a bit towards its natural world. the natives were indeed friendly ,and with the help of a local guide,namely my mate,and incidently my daughters boyfriend (don't ask it's complicated!),i saw my first ever kingfisher. all i saw was a very quick flash of azure,but deffinately one. a trip to the royal botanical garden was great too, several habitats...
