No, the only thing that appears to be on our telly is football:( Shinty is a bit like hockey, but the players seem intent on slaughtering each other:D :D Where were the teams from?

I'm suppose to be up the Schiehallion today, but because of the rain I decided not to bother:( If the weather is better tomorrow then we'll give it a go:) I am so sick of the rain:(

    How you doing?

    Tracey:)

    Hi Seamus,

I'd love to see a Pine marten! How lucky were you having one at your bin just outside your kitchen window:) I know where to go now to see Capercaillies, a couple of my RSPB friends have told me where they saw them, so that is on my to do list. If I do come up later on this year I'll certainly be looking out for Pine martens!

    Hope all is well:)

Yep, you lot are just so spoilt when it comes to wildlife up there and the scenery is to die for:) I can only imagine what a spectacular sight it must have been. Was the eagle trying to make one of the goats lose its footing? One of the wildlife programmes I watched featured an eagle trying to do this to some goats or deer, can't remember which? The idea was that the intended prey would fall to its death and I should imagine be quite tenderised as well:) You're very lucky Seamus:) I was a bit peeved with the weather, because I wanted to climb, but it's still beautiful area around Portnellan:) I saw the goats myself once a few years ago, when I was up at Kinlochleven:) Do you have Capercaillie in your area? They are high up on my wish list of things to see!:)

Hi Seamus, it was beautifull up at Portnellan, but wet. Sunday was just a complete wash out, even my ruck sack was soaked. My first Osprey was at Vane Farm four years ago and I've seen them ever since, they are pretty special:) What have you been up to? Seen anything interesting?

    Hiya,
weather is supposed to be great for the weekend. Lovely walks along the river, drinking beer, eating chips while sitting watching the bats and dragonfly's. Then back to Naomi's for a bit of WAB and more beer..

in a wood not far from here
a shot rang out, both loud and clear
a man lay dieing on the ground
he'd never heard that final sound
a musket ball had pierced his chest
that sent him to his final rest
but this was not just any man
for he was from the Campbell clan
and so they had to make amend
and called upon a local "friend"
one named stewart ,from ardsheal
and said to him ,now here's the deal

...glasgow!!! ...well not really i'm an edinburgh boy born ,if not totally bred, but a recent trip to that "dear green place" opened my mind a bit towards its natural world. the natives were indeed friendly ,and with the help of a local guide, namely my mate, and incidently my daughters boyfriend (don't ask it's complicated!),i saw my first ever kingfisher. all i saw was a very quick flash of azure, but deffinately one. a trip to the royal botanical garden was great too, several habitats...
