Thanks Ruth - I feel such a drama queen - I'm used to being the person who copes, who holds things together, who pontificates and hands out useful advice ........ its very humbling to be in a decidedly rocky postition - but logic somewhere tells me nothing stays and these dark days will be over eventually - but thanks for thinking - it does help to knw folk empathise ..........

Its a stunner isn't it - I can't exactly say why but the impact of it is huge! I thought it was maybe just me - and prob it won't appeal to everyone - but it makes a (sorry swan) boring swan into a whole different game!

It will be our artistic natures Ruth that brings the tears and thoughts and swans in flight are a whole different beast to when on the water - esp whoopers - must have something to do with where they come and go from and the thought of all that wilderness the lucky beggers get to see every year - and no I don;t mean Martin Mere and Slimbridge!! Marcus Conway has taken a fabulous swan shot - its on Bird Guides if you wanted to look - its knocked my socks off - such a simple subject but the impact of the shot is stunning - sleeping swan on black water and background all perfectly exposed - its a stunner!

Nice to hear that you've managed to have some sort of a "normal" day Pauline! Even if you have been in the wars again! I ended up in tears watching a huge flock of Swans (too far away to ID) flying into the snow leaden skies this morning....must be our age eh? lol!

Thanks for kind thoughts Ruth - please don't ever remove your writing blog will you - I know thats a big thing to ask but its soooo good - so original - and I soooo enjoy it. I wish you would enquire about making it into a book cos I can see it in book form as clear as day!

Thanks Ruth - but afraid its all gone to rat poo here - I had this weird feeling which I would like to shake off cos I believe when you think something then it happens - if so all this muck swirling round me is self generated - which is a frightening thought .......... Not got to the caravan - not got out at all - the weather isn't helping - tho I'm glad its not May and gorgeous - that would really cause tears and frustration. At least now that I am off work again its out of my hands and they will finish me so thats that decided - time to move on and look after my mam until the time comes when she needs specialist care. I keep going and looking at and reading you writing and poetry blog - it helps a lot - in fact another visit needed right now so I shalll put the kettle on ........... Pauline xx
