Re: Lined Seedeaters, the beak and the wing colouring are wrong: the ones I saw had beaks like a wren's and brown in the wing feathers. Only photos that matched the birds I saw were of the Collared Flycatcher though my claiming to have seen aliens or UFOs would have been more readily accepted!
Good of you to stand up for me - I had no idea that my innocent suggestion would be jumped in with such vicious and arrogant spite. I appreciate that these birds are rare which is why I wanted to notify someone and see if any one else had seen them too. I did a lot of trawling through various sites to make sure that there was no possible alternative. These birds were in a shrub only 2' away so I got a good look. Wish I'd kept it to myself now, still can't get over the way my posting was taken as some kind of indecent insult, its really shaken me up. Many thanks for your kind comments.
