You have to walk round the main pit (either way will do) until you get to the farm at the back. To the left of the horse paddock is a line of four or five oak trees with nest boxes attached, this is where the tree sparrows are. They also favour the hawthorn hedge nearby.
It's a bit of a lottery if you see one, many times I 'dip' out but good luck anyway.

Hi Robin,
I think you mentioned the location of Tree Sparrows at Tyttenhanger GP. They are in some oak trees I think you said. Can you be more specific, as I haven't seen them there yet?

Yes, Ayot St Lawrence, it perches on the tv aerials of the Old Rectory - first house on right, opp. the old church.
