Hi Richard - I knew you were away - I remembered you saying as much - sounds as tho its been good - will have a look when I get chance but I'm even further behind having been without internet for 6 days - tho it would have made no difference cos we were in Suffolk some of that time - I'm just behindhand! My Uncle Dave has been in New Zealand for his sons wedding and a little holiday afterwards - said he was impressed but he never knew what jet lag was till he did this trip!!!
Well I never, Richard. I didn't know that about the bag moth. Learnt something there, thank you. I have some bat boxes in a wood on the western edge of the Pennines in Cumbria and every time I check them the lids are so well sealed with similar constructions of silk they are so difficult to prise off. For the want of a better ID I've always called them bagworms - perhaps they are similar to your species. I'm checking the boxes on Sunday and may be I'll get a chance to take a photo. Thanks for the explanation.
Hee hee - wab will go quiet soon as plenty of us move out into the countryside and do what we love - taking photos, birding, wild-flowering, fungi-ing, lichens, insects and just plain being 'out there'!!!
Thanks for the appreciation - I will go straight to the Blurb site - you and I are getting more and more alike - I wrote a book way back in 1987 - its long out of print tho I believe its still for sale on certain sites and can be found in some old book shops! Its getting on a bit like its author!!!
Welcome to WAB! You're putting some cracking shots up in the Gallery - they made me smile and think this person is like me and will take anything that gets in range and I really enjoying seeing the whole gammut of nature photography! Keep posting!! Regards
Pauline
