The lens covers are very is easy to make. Just cut it into strips of the correct width. Then wrap it around the circumference of the part of the lens that you wish to cover to gauge the length. This is the only tricky part. It is very 'springy' and you need to use trial and error.

To fasten the ends together, I first used EvoStick glue. The type that you apply to both surfaces and wait until dry before bonding. This provides a surprisingly strong joint but to make sure I then stitched it together with black cotton.

If you wish you can then cut out 'windows' to access lens controls. The material doesn't fray.

Hi, only just read your message about the neoprene as I've been away in Scotland for the week.

The neoprene I got from OW is still going strong. I made covers for both the Canon 300mm and 500mm prime lenses. I would definitely recomened it.

I don't have the product code but the stuff I got was at the bottom of this page -

It was 3mm thick, Hardwoods Green on one side and black on the other. I just checked and this one doesn't seem to be there now. Best thing to do is email or phone them. They were very helpful.
