Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear the weather wasn't that good, and thank you for the kind comment about my Puffin photo. However, if I'd come away with no photos it wouldn't have mattered. Just to be there and see it was fantastic. I'll be going back next year for sure!

Well it turns out I picked the worst day of the week! It was too rough for a landing on Staple Island in the morning so my "All Day Birdwatch" trip turned into a half-day with two and a half hours on Inner Farne in the afternoon. The sun came out for a while though and I think I've got a few nice pics.

Just been looking at yours and that's a cracking in-flight puffin! Don't think I've got anything to rival that one.

Hi Matt,

Glad to hear your visit to the Farnes was a great success and I'm looking forward to seeing the pics. The weather forecast for me on Wednesday is decidedly dodgy - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather men are wrong again. But I've got Bempton Cliffs to look forward to on Thurs so I won't be too disappointed if the Farnes don't work out for me.

Hi Dave,

Changed the day for my trip to the Farne Islands to today as tomorrow was looking a little dodgy. I had an absolutely magical time and just hope the weather for you on Wednesday is as good as it was today. Can't wait to get back home on Thurs so I can look through the 600 or so photos I've taken!
