- I hope all goes well for you next week.
Lori - Hi Poe!
You're not making it easy for me on 'Story Time' are you?? LOL
I won't be around for a while after Friday, as I'm going into hospital for a hysterectomy.
I could be in for up to 5 days and obviously I'll have to take it very easy for a while when I get home!
Not sure if I'll be able to sit at the PC! LOL
Take care,
Tracey.x - Hi Poe I went out yesterday for walk looking for signs of spring and keeping an eye out for frog spawn. I very nearly did what you warned me about only it wasn't a pond but a ditch. I thought I'd seen some frog spawn so went down the ditch bank, slipped and slid on me back right dawn to the waters edge, avoided getting wet but got blatherd in mud all down one side from bum to shoulder! Anyway I had a closer look while i was layed there and it turned out to be some slimy weed with bubbles round it!! It won t be long now the frogs are active and the weather here has warmed up a bit.
- No worries Posie, know what is like on here sometimes....first time I posted I got innocently caught up in a raging debate and felt like saying **** it to the whole site.

though you may already be there. - 08-03-2010 11:32 AM - permalinkJohnny RedgateI know the feeling re horses and laminitis. It seems like a constant worry. My old mare actually got it right at the end of winter and she was a skinny anglo-arab. But I guess it was age-related. Poor thing is dead now and I no longer ride - don't really want to.
We have loads of ground - 40ac or thereabouts but its just been too cold to grow grass as yet. Over the last few years we could have relied on a little bit of winter growth. Not this time though. The ground is frozen again today, but then we do go from 800 - 1100 ft altitude. What sort of lunatics lamb in Feb under these conditions?! - 08-03-2010 10:14 AM - permalinkJohnny RedgateThere you go - told you I needed some tips. Came in at 9.30am for a cup of tea and check WAB, back out at 10.10am and the ewe had had 3 little lambs all on her own, plop, plop plop. 2 boys and a girl. And I got up 4 times last night to check her in case she got into trouble. Flipping sheep!!!
- Hi Poe :)
Yer, doing just fine thanks. Had another great day out yesterday.
I have the double glazing chaps in this week, (Everest) and the weather is fine for it, thankfully! Was so dreading it being awful weather.
My car? Grrr. Beware of rich middle aged ladies from Alfriston driving over-sized Beamers. They pull out without signalling and ruin your new car!!!! (She escaped with a grazed bumper.) At least she admitted full liability. Just another pain in the rear, all the paperwork, courtesy car, etc...
Haven't you been in The Treehouse lately Poe? I thought you would have chipped in on the "Undersized horse" thread, lol ;)
