Hi Pauline-have been watching and reading about the ice storms that have been affecting parts of the country-horrendous!! We had about 8 inches of snow last saturday night and its still hanging around-melted a bit but then its been freezing overnight!Good idea about starting a thread-will do and I will also ask D.C. whats his view on the 60D...I have been looking at the 7D and I like it,just a bit too dear by about £300-400-if I got that I would not be able to afford a lense!!Never mind I can only get what I can afford and ensure it meets my needs and expertise(haha)Must say I know how you felt when you decided to get your new one,cant wait now!!!

Hi Pauline,hope you are well,we are not too bad down here in the freezing weather!!!Amlooking at getting another camera and like the look of the canons....can get a lot more glass than with the oly!Can you recommend any as the more I read reviews the more I cant make up my mind.Have looked at the EOS 600D,550D and 60D,seem to be leaning towards the 600d at the mo-what do you reckon?

Hi Pauline, them thar Bittern photos, amazing you and Ian should be well chuffed with yourselves.
Well after our conservation (I think it was two summers ago now) I've just ordered myself the Sigma 10-20.
I'm ill in bed at the moment (that's actually an understatement, I'm actually at deaths door but don't like to make a fuss) with a cold and thought 'stuff it' I'll order that lens to cheer me up. I'm waiting for it to arrive today!

The weather forecast is looking much better for the weekend,though colder,,,I really hope so for your sake!!!I want to see what that camera can do lol!!Workwise it is busy for me but I am an early bird anyway and the early start suits me-and yes I have had one pay rise and should get another soon:)

Sorry weather hasnt been nice up your way,we have had overcast but dry days-not good for photos really roll on spring time....hope you have had a nice birthday Pauline...will look at your birthday thread now-notice I remembered:) and early this morning too,was up as I started work at 6..

Oh birthdays are noticed with cards - tho prezzies always happen at our house as and when needed or afforded! Thanks for the good wishes Deb. Its another grey day here but I'm planning going out anyway - desperation will drive me out of the hourse today no matter what. Weather been grim in the northwest for weeks - we've had cloud and drizzle or heavy rain when the rest of the country has had some nice sunshine ....
