Hi Pauline. Glad you found the article interesting. We had a flock of waxwings fly over the site here this morning, but that's the first I've heard of them down here so far. Never seen a waxwing, so I'm hoping to get out to the supermarket carpark at Hedge End at the weekend and see if there are any about (lots there in previous years), but the forcast is looking a bit dodgy for this weekend. Hi Mark - funnily enough I'd already been on and been reading your peice about foxes as versus cats and wolves etc! all very interesting! Today we picked up a photographer friend and headed out to the waxwings yet again at Barrow, near Clitheroe and bingo! a blue sky behind the birds at last - at long last!! We then went to look where the Gt grey shrike was a few days ago but think a pair of kestrels has seen it off ......... oh well can't win em all!!!

Thanks for your kind words and the reciprocal link, Pauline - it's always nice to hear the work is appreciated. I am always working on some part of other of the site and try to update the homepage each month (there's not a lot of dynamic content on the site, which reduces the number of regular visitors). I wouldn't say your site is simple - given that I occasionally dabble in the world of nature photography I know the time and effort you must put in to get the calibre of shots you have. It's just a shame that not everyone sees all the effort that goes into a stunning photo when they look at sites like yours. Thanks also for the offer of using your pics - I'm sure there are some. I will soon be updating the speed read page to include British owls, so I'll no doubt be in touch. Thanks again. Cheers, Marc.

WOW! Marc thats some interesting and in-depth site and a huge amount of work! Yes there's a lot - that doesn't faze me - I like to have plenty to go at - and I've made a mental note to keep returning and seeing/reading what you have been looking into! Your link is now added to my list of links (which means I can find it easily too!) I will be back over the winter to read up enjoy - keep it up its a grand peice of work - makes mine look simple and I know how many hours I spend tickling and tweaking and prepping images for display! I can't seem to find it at the moment (it is getting late and I have a had a 'fuzzy blonde day'!!) but if you let me know what it is I will include in my links Gallery - the more the merrier for wildlife I say!
