Hi Pauline!
I've only just noticed your message welcoming me back - cheers!
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems with your Mum. You have my sympathies as both my parents are being difficult although Social services have lightened the load a little.
It is difficult to detach ones emotions from a family situation like this and I'm afraid you'll have to try and do just that for your own good and hers. It sounds like there's only you carrying this load (my only sibling lives abroad so it's similar) so it must be pretty hard for you.
In a way my op has got me off the hook for a while - but if you're feeling it's all too much that is just as valid as being physically not up to it. Sometimes you have to think of self survival too?
many best wishes ,
Acher

Nice to see you back - hope you are soon back on your feet and off out round our local areas - or where ever you feel like going.

Its always as well to start from a reasonable standpoint when asking someone not to do something but I can understand OH's feelings too - you just never know these days with knife crime and drugs whether someone can be reasoned with or is just going to have a go and if there are more of them than you and they can ride off and disappear and not be traced after ........ its a risky business and as I get older I get less likely to complain when folk are misbehaving .........

Sorry - Pauline!
Those youths at Low Hall were quite reasonable really - my OH was probably worried because he's a male Scouser and too prepared and defensive.
Whatever - it's amazing how quickly mother nature takes over in these places.
I will tell his nibs about the hair streak... ;)

Hi acherontia - its Pauline by the way - think the confusion comes from my 'handle' being PMG! Sounds like you are very local if you've been shouting at youths at Low Hall! It was one of my sites - along with Amberswood - when I worked on the ranger service and there has always been intermittant probs with bikes. A little whisper tells me that White-letter Hairstreak has just been found there? Haven't heard from GrahamO yet but I'd be happy to give info if asked.......

Hiya Pam - I hope you don't mind but 'GrahamO' who posted his web site (you commented) asked about a Nature reserve in the Wigan area and I pointed him in your direction.
That 'new' one (Low Hall) is brilliant for insects - but I told off some young lads razzin' about on their motor bikes ;)

Friendship request received and 'ticked' with pleasure!
