Hi Pauline-look forward to the story-very intriguing!!!! I am ok but mum has been poorly.She developed a kidney infection and was admitted to hospital where she spent 5 days....while in there she picked up a nasty cold(another patient in the ward apparently was sneezing and coughing infecting 4 out of the 6 patients on the ward!!!!)which she came out with!!She never went out for nearly 2 weeks but when I came home yesterday she must have felt better-she was painting!!!!Anyway today I took her to Sainsburys for a big shop and she was more like her old self-she says the one good thing for being so ill is she has lost weight:)

....... the wanderer has returned yet again - it was all as expected: eagles, sharks, divers, harriers, big skies ...... then I added the 'bonus ball' of 3 extra days in the Cairngorms on the ?way home - no geographically the Cairngorms are not on the way home to Lancashire - but what the hell - I was on a promise from Earthdragon of One flowered Wintergreen which they magic-ed out of thin air for me and then upped the anti by adding White faced Darter - thank you Audry & Bob - BIG THANK YOU! Much work and unpaid bills screaming for attention but I will post just one shot 'hot off the press' ..............

Goodness only me online this morning!! WAke up guys n gals its a decent morning here but rain promised - some cracking shots in the Gallery from everyone. See you in a fortnight, be good while I go and 'sample' the delights of the isles: eagles, divers, orchids, shorties, waders n chicks ........ that sort of thing: howling rain and gales - sunny becalmed bejewelled days - shearwaters, sharks, terns ..... BIG skies .......... back soon!!!!

Hi, thanks for the message. I really don't think it is illegal. Hope not anyway as I often need to do it on surveys where whether or not it is a badger sett is not obvious.

I'm not surprised the thread has been closed. I can't really see why the personal insults started.

I feel it is becoming an issue regarding wildlife photography with the clamp down by Bird Guides and now Fudgey being arrested for photographing badgers ....... there's something very weird going on with folk - all this invasion into peoples privacy and reading salacious stuff about celebrities which folk can't seem to get enough of (who cares what Peter Andre is doing - get on with living man - its a shorter life than you think and all the money and celebrity status in the world won;t make it longer!) yet wildlife photography is being frowned on - folk are going slightly mad I reckon ......... rant over!!

Its possible Deb that for a number of reasons (money, lack of appeal due to islands changing, prefer maybe to start going to Mull instead - or more time spent on the mainland like the Cairngorms, or perhaps I may venture to the Orkneys (tho that is more money!!!) The isles are changing and with changing attitudes to wildlife photographers it may become uncomfortable and that would awful out there - having had the wildness and the run of the place to be alone in - to feel free in - the changes in perspective towards visitors may stop me cos I don;t want to feel disappointed out there ....... that sort of thing .....

Ok guys I'm going awol again shortly - so don't saddle up the wab search and rescue posse - cos all I'm doing is getting away again .... to my beloved western isles - poss for the last time for a number of reasons so it will be stops pulled out (and thrown away) this visit - just in case I don't go again!! Some cracking images going up in the galleries from everyone - keep up the good work - have some luck and good weather and I will try to do the same!!!!! (I've seen the forecast and it indicates this may be yet another 'grin and bear it' visit!!!!) ...........
