Hey Pauline, you made me smile with your post(s) to me and two occasions :-)
The tea and coffee drinking was the first, I counted up how many cups I have had today and the total is 13 and this has been a working day an all, shocking!!! This is probably my average daily intake, so must do better (ie, not drink this amount of caffeine). In my defence I don't drink alcahol.
The second thing you'd written that made me smile was " I shall only pass by here once". You're talking to a Buddhist!
Hence that's why I haven't been able to reply to you any sooner as I have been away all weekend on a Buddhist course.
I'm hoping to get out this weekend with the camera a bit and put something in the galleries, jsut hope it's going to be a calm one, unlike the hooley it's been blowing today.
I hope all is well with and the rest of your clan, keep up the galivanting to make sure it's a 'well earned' rest at the end of this season, ready for next year ;-)

Hi Pauline, hope you've got over your illness and are packed and ready to get up here this weekend. The weather isn't looking brilliant for the weekend, but I think it will improve. Dragons and Damsels have started appearing, as have butterflies, so plenty to see.

You did send me a booklet about Uist, I've had a good look and it will be really useful. We go on the 21st, and are really looking forward to it.

Give us a bell when you get up here.

Yes we are lucky round here as they seem to be in the country park as well as along the sea wall.......am waiting to see if we will lose our broadband tomorrow-in the process of changing providers and had a few probs,so may not be back till end of next week,hopefully!! In the meantime am printing of email address list.Will soon find out tomorrow if we have broadband still eh lol!!

Hi Pauline,yes was pleased to get the orange tips,mind you they sure do get around!!!!Manged to get a shot of male cuckoo today-not nearly as good as yours but is the closest I have ever got to it.Image is in image Gallery-my BOTD too!!

Hey it's great to hear you're getting out and about loads with your camera, blue ar$ed fly comes to mind, but at least it is in a nice way all this gallivanting.
I wish I could copy you but like yourself, I'm in the waiting stage and will be for years to come.....mortgage, who'd have one? But my day will come, like yours has ;-)
Yep you sure have put some great photos up in the Gallery and I happen to notice Dennis has been over to your neck of the woods also, not seen him myself for a bit, but then again I've not been down to the wetlands for ages and as you are aware I have only just got my act together now and got going again.
In my mind I was never gone from here, just had a quiet few months when not a a great deal is happening photography wise and I can only contribute so much to forums before I show my severe lack of knowledge up (within a few seconds).

With the price of diesel, looks like I'll have to be choosing my trips out carefully to the wetlands, it's a bit of a treck on top of all the mileage I have to do to and fro work. In a way this slowed me down on the photography front as it wasn't worth the deisel or the 2hr round trip to the wetlands during those quiet months of mine to photograph the same birds every weekend, any way I'm a bit of a pussy, I don't like the cold, kills my hands!
So yes I'm back in action on here but with my other commitments, looks like I'll have to spread myself out a bit thinly.
Ok I'm off to have a ganders at the galleries,

Blimey that was close-can you imagine what it would be like chasing a tornado in U.S??
Just turned radio on to M.W.and its crackling like anything so someone somewhere is getting a storm!!If we have one tonight I cant help myself and just have to get up to watch the lightning-mind you I watched a programme on thunderstorms and they said that you can be struck by lightning thru glass!!
