    Well am now the owner of a Tamron 90mm macro lens,only came this afternoon so it was out in the garden and taking a couple of shots of fly that was sitting on a rose leaf!!! Wow think I am going to love this lens....now where are the butterflies:)

    Arent the dormice cute!!! Join a dormouse group and volunteer for monitoring,mind so many people volunteer here that there is a strict rota and limit to how many people do it every month.I would go every month if I could but am limited to 2 this year.Mind as I live close to the woods sometimes I can get an extra turn if someone drops out!! Dormice are thin on the ground in your neck of the woods arent they?

    Hi P,
    I was listening to radio Cornwall while away and there was a topic about probiotics and IBS they said to get enteric coated as the normal ones don't get past the stomach as the stomach acids break them down before they reach the bowel.
    Have you heard anything like this I wondered if you have tried them.

    Yes, just had 4 days in Somerset. Weather stayed dry but little to no sunshine but still managed a few shots. Bitterns were showing well at Ham Wall and Egrets and Herons at Swell Wood were also good.

    Thanks for your comment. We have been away for 5 weeks in New Zealand and then working on the new blurb book of the trip. Just put it to bed yesterday and it is now on the system. If you are interested go to blurb and in the search box type richard collier. A few good birds at the very end under wildlife.

Don't know how blogs work so giving this a go to see what happens!

I mentioned in a thread yesterday that I had not one but three hawfinches outside the caravan for a few minutes .... I grabbed the camera and shot off a few frames but the windows are plastic and double glazed so the results were as expected pretty dire - however - even tho I rarely post a bad pic I'm going to post one now just to prove a point!
