The usual goldfinches are out there - Ian has brought his gardening table out and put food on that as well as under the new shed overhang - we're stupid in that we've had a biggish flock of goldfinch - can be up to 50 - for 3 years and haven't tried to photograph them - I suspect he may be planning to tomorrow but I'm not up for sitting out yet - too much coughing!!
No, it's not very nice down here at the moment either, the rain has now got some sleet mixed in with it.
At least you can maybe look for birds in your garden while you're ill. I just posted on the Bird of the Day thread that I saw a Coal Tit, Goldcrest and Long-Tailed Tit within about 30 seconds this morning!
Thanks Pete - nice to hear from you! I've never been a really fit person but its annoying when I get onto one of these spells where one thing comes after another without much break inbetween - now that gets me down - but it could all be a whole lot worse - so I shall carry on im my usual oeoeoeo-minded way. My poor mechanic chappie has come to put another (4th over the years...) starter motor on the old Fiesta (read heap of junk - it can't hear - the bonnets up!!!) and I pity him laid on the floor in this ..............
Ah bless Pete - I'd advise - just in case then that you make the absolute most of the next 4 years! I couldn't be in a sorrier state if I tried at the min - there's only one way to go and that is up and better - t'other way doesn't bear thinking about...........
I hope it's not what happens when you turn 55 - I've only four years to go! :)
Back problems can stem from all sort of surprising things - apparently they can often be stress related somehow. Just sitting awkwardly, with your spine slightly bent, can cause them. I had a slipped disc a few years ago, I really need to be careful what I do so I don't cause myself more back problems.
I really love your (and Ian's) web site - I've only really started taking photographs properly within the last year, since I got my Panasonic FZ18, so perhaps in another 37 years I'll be as good as you! :)
