Hi Paul,

apologies for the impromptu VM, but I was wondering whether you'd permit me to put your photo of the fox with early-stage mange on my website? I have an article on Sarcoptic Mange (Wildlifeonline - Sarcoptic Mange in Red Foxes) and that pic would serve to illustrate perfectly how the disease starts. I would credit the pic as yours and link your credit to the Ladybird Survey, if you agree.

Hi Paul,

I have records of Lampyris noctiluca for 2008 and 2009 for Mill Hill/Copthall, London. Someone thought I should report these. Is this the case? If so, who do I report them to?

Hi Paul,

The Glebelands is the strip of land to the west of Coppetts Wood, sandwiched between the North Circular and some playing fields adjacent to Summer's Lane. It has a chain of ponds of great interest to some. ;-)

If you have the Newsletter and read the article about Coppetts Wood and the Glebelands, that's us. Yesterday we were tree cutting in the Long Marsh Hollow for the Lesser Water Plantain. It was great to see that our work was being recognised. These are some of the gang working on a nearby pond.

I was very proud and vast numbers copies of the article will be printed and distributed to the group next time I see them.

Of course they will all be encouraged to join the LNHS.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for trying to help with the keywords question. I'll get there in the end once I have a full grasp of what keywords are for.

Did you write an article published in the LNHS Newsletter recently? I was going to post something about the Heather Ladybirds that I'd read were living in Leylandii in Garston (which isn't far from me, and we have these trees in are garden, so I got very excited about finding one). When I went back to the article, I saw it was written by "Paul Mabbott". That has to be you! :-D

Hi Paul, yes I agree, now that they have evolved into 'Fun' threads, but that was not the original intention by either me or Connor, with the two 'Abbreviation' threads. But as it shows signs of causing bickering between us, which Connor and I certainly do not want, I have explained the situation to the mods and requested, that if they think it appropriate, that they move them to the 'Treehouse'. By the way, I have used your website several times and found it very useful...Posie..

It's just one of those threads that gets silly and wastes space. I've no objection to the thread as such, I just think it should be in the treehouse!
