Hi Fred, Eriba Forum? nice to hear from you, I have moved over to "caravan talk" but still ran into several Eriba Forum people there. So far the back is fine, and I am up to around a mile and a half a day walking with no pain, will be seeing the consultant next week . Thanks very much for getting in touch PM me if you would like my e-mail.

Hi nightshade AKA Gumdrop! My wife had a similar op about six years ago and had plates and screws put in place. She had both removed a couple of years ago as they were impinging on the Sciatic nerve. She still has some pain but we walk about 4 miles a day and she can manage that OK. We also swim 1 mile twice a week at the local leisure centre and it seems to help us both. As well as the improved mobility she can now go through airport scanners without setting them off! Keep as mobile as you are able, a bit more each day.
Thanks Farplace, I have had a Spinal Fusion with a Decompression of two nerves which were causing me a great deal of pain (to the point of immobilisation)
I went in on 11/01/11 and came out the following monday evening, so far I can walk with the aid of sticks and without for short distances around the house. A long way to go yet hence my interest in WAB back garden flora and fauna and how the big jigsaw of gardens complement each other

Hi nightshade, I got a bat detector for Xmas and have not a clue what I am doing.
What frequency do you set it to, I can here lost of like car alarms and pulsating noises like a foetus in the womb..lol
It might be too early in the year for the bats here yet.
Any advice or tips will well appreciated..
Thank you.
Elaine.
