Les
i really enjoyed sunday!
i suspect the lacterius was Lactarius tabidus or Birch Milkcap
Btw conica is the Blackening waxcap. It was bugging me so i've doubled checked and yet collins new gen guide really does refer to it as nigrescens being the blackening which is so odd.
See you soon
PS Looking forward to the bombycina
pics!
Hi John
Mondays are always rough! LOL
I have not found any leads on the white disco, that might suggest a genus.
I'm now wondering why I did not use the tubes to get more detailed shot.
I got as far as Inocybe for the shaggy brown sample, but could not find one with a similar stem.
By the way, I could not locate Inocybe on the disc you sent me. Is it me?
The new season has certainly started well with more interesting finds.
I'm just going through the Stones list to see if any of the past finds will fit the bill. Using Courtecuisse & Duhem, my work reference.
Are we still at stones tomorrow? Shall I see you at 9.30am at the cricket ground.
Eckington woods was good today ... apart from forgetting my tripod camera mount ..DOH!
