and I'm that deep into trying to rescue my computer (dare not switch it off until I have removed everything that matters either onto the new external hard drive - which I don't understand - or backed up - which I don't understand either .....) so I didn't spot that you hadn't replied!! We should have gone to Southport - Ainsdale beach today for the high tide but cos of the computer situation and appointments this week we cancelled and I've been here all day and am slowly but surely getting another headache! But anyway - hello official friend - and if I disappear you will know the computer has finally died despite all my efforts to keep it breathing!!!!

I've just looked for you on my friends list and found you're not there! Goodness - that's surprised me - esp with us almost 'living next door' to each other!! I've remedied that by sending friendship request!

I must say - that gannet portrait is one of the sharpest images of this bird that I've seen. I've never had much luck at Bempton. You did well (to put it reservedly) ;)
