You might be surprised, Richard. Roe deer are becoming increasingly common in gardens and we apparently get them on the common here in Southampton, despite the heavy use it gets and limited woodland. Cheers, Marc.

Hi Marc. Only in the sense that I decided that our local woods are too small and surrounded by housing to be home to any deer other than muntjac.
Cheers, Richard

Thanks very much Richard - for website reproduction purposes, the WAB image is fine. Did you manage to find the answer to your question? If not, let me know and I might be able to help as my site isn't very good for that kind of thing...yet (I have plans!). Cheers, Marc.

Hi Marc. I am very happy for you to use my image - let me know if you want the original. I first stumbled across your website a year or so ago, when trying to determine the likelihood of deer other than muntjac being present in our local woods.
Cheers, Richard

Hi Richard. Thanks for your kind comments about my site - I'm glad you liked it. Would you let me use your muntjac picture on it? I have an article on muntjac that I will be compiling at some point. Cheers, Marc.
