Hi Martin , sorry I was not able to put the close up on art forum , I will try again ....I make them with air drying clay , fix finer joints with milliput , fine legs are usually plaited wire, real tricky . I mainly use acrylics . I did varnish but you know I think enamel paints are worth the mess :O)...thanks for taking an interest .
    Cheers
    Annmaria
P.S. please let me know if you have any idea why I can not up load to gallery images.

Mosaic river sounds great if you can pull it off, I was in cyprus a few years ago their mosaics were wonderful , I came home thinking right I am going to rip up the hall floor and put some version of a greek god , I mean carpets are so lame in comparison....

    Hi ya Annmaria
Got a few other aches I could do, might try pencil or an Ink wash will see.
If the pebbles do not work what of those small tiles you get for bathrooms and do a mosaic water, you know....go Roman!!!
    All the best...Martin
