Me and my son Glyn have just enjoyed your photostream, Lori! Thanks for sharing. Some familiar places there! That church by the river....we visited that spot the last time we took my dear ol' Dad to our old hometown. (He was a waterman/lighterman & tug captain on the river).

Yes, Highgate have organized tours now, I am afraid.

Btw, is there still a funfair at Battersea?

Hiya Lori, I must say that I am happy to see your name dotted regularly around the forums again :)

I've just been reading up about Highgate Cemetery (I have my macabre side!) As with many places in London, I didn't bother to visit when I was there, despite having lived there for 26 years...you tend to take these things for granted, don't you? Have you ever been there? Apart from it's historical side, it has a wealth of fauna and flora to be spotted. Alas, you cannot wander alone there anymore, nor take a tripod, so it all is rather stage-managed. (I hate being "herded" in a group - grrr!) 'Still worth a visit I would have thought though...perhaps en route to The Zoo? lol (I used to get the 74 bus from Putney Bridge to right outside the gates! Oh those were the days!)

Hi lori,

This is our pooch, Tilly at about 12 weeks.

She's now 8 months and the same size as the cat!
She's a Jack-chi. A jack russell cross chihuahua!
Bit differant from our last dog. An alsatian cross lurcher. She had to be put down on 3rd aug last year, the same day as the devil... sorry i mean Tilly was born.
